Your bias is showing

Social media, gateway to prayer?
A lot of things happen on social media, but vulnerability is not often one of them. When someone does get real about their personal goings on, what is our response? We might be tempted to scroll on by in pursuit of things that are more likable and shareable with the touch of a thumb. But what might happen if we embrace the "social" aspect and take the time to engage with posts both vulnerable and otherwise in a Kingdom-advancing way?
What else you may have missed on The Reconnect:
Conversations with Carmen featuring Mark Labberton
Mark Labberton is editor of a new book titled Still Evangelical? Insiders Reconsider Political, Social and Theological Meaning. He shared with us about how inviting the Gospel into every single corner of thought is the key to redefining evangelicalism.
Your bias is showing (and it's not a slip)

Bias is unavoidable. As ambassadors of Christ in today's culture, we need to be aware of its presence in our own as well as others' news consumption. We need to be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves (Mt. 10:16) as we step into the conversations of the day with those around us.
