NASA recently censored the word “Jesus”
NASA recently censored the word “Jesus” in their newsletter. This censorship is both
inappropriate and unconstitutional.
Last summer the Johnson Space Center Praise and
Worship Club asked to include an advertisement in the newsletter for
their lunchtime prayer and worship time. Their request was denied
because the ad mentioned the name “Jesus.”
This is religious discrimination and NASA's
ridiculous demand that the group refrain from using the word Jesus runs
contrary to the club members’ God-given and Constitutionally protected
freedom of religion. Allowing the club to use the word
“Jesus” is not a violation of the establishment clause.
Please sign this petition asking NASA to issue an apology and to stop censoring the name Jesus.
