Religious freedom: Many meanings

Amid Donald Trump’s disastrous week, one announcement went relatively unnoticed: the appointment of Sam Brownback, the governor of Kansas, as ambassador for religious freedom. Mr Brownback’s conception of religious freedom involves allowing businesses to refuse service to gay people if that clashes with their beliefs.
