Dr. Gavin Ashenden discusses the recent appointment of "Bishop" Cherry Vann, an open confessing lesbian cleric, as the 15th Archbishop of Wales. He asks whether Vann is, in fact, valuing her "sexual identity" over all other considerations; the well being of the ecclesial community that calls itself the "Church of Wales", which is already suffering as a result of her appointment, Nigeria having cut ties with it, and the office she has been appointed to, as any limited authority it had can only be diminished by her appointment.
