Jewish Ethics Amidst Fear and Danger
Yehuda Kurtzer, President of the Shalom Hartman Institute and host of the Identity/Crisis podcast, discusses how living in fear can constrict our moral imagination as it relates to our obligations to others; Jewish tradition permits us to care for ourselves, but not to stop there. In this moment of fear and danger, how can we think about our range of responsibilities? What might be a moral map for this impossible moment?
Recorded at Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, DC.
