Cardinal Robert McElroy bids farewell to San Diego
For 10 years, Cardinal Robert McElroy has been the head of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego, leading nearly 1.4 million members in matters both spiritual and secular, such as immigration and the environment. In a few weeks, he will become head of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. KPBS reporter Tania Thorne says he’ll be just a few miles from the White House and Capitol Hill.
