Wikipedia • On January 6, 2021, the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., was attacked by a mob of supporters of then-president Donald Trump in an attempted self-coup d'état, two months after his defeat in the 2020 presidential election. Jackson Reffitt, who reported his father for participating in the January 6 Capitol attack, doesn’t want Trump to let his dad out of prison early. Jackson’s mom is fighting for pardons and other forms of clemency for her husband and other January 6 convicts. CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan speaks to mother and son.
