Many sincere Christians are worried right now that the situation in Ukraine is a sign of the end. Some "prophecy experts" have suggested that Russia represents Gog and Magog. While we are totally sympathetic towards the situation in Europe, and while we do not want to minimize the suffering and loss that many are experiencing now, we do want to clarify that applying these texts to the current situation as if it is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy is to take the passages out of context. These texts, Ezekiel 38-39, Matthew 24, and Revelation 20 were fulfilled in historical events contemporary to the original prophecies.
