+On the Martin Luther King Day Sunday (1/17) this year, Pastor Nathan will speak to the topic, The Sound of Silence. Looking at the 1967 King speech at the Riverside Church in New York City, Nathan will talk about the double edged sword that is silence. Silence is a valuable spiritual discipline. Be still and know that I am God (Psalm 46.10). And sometimes we need to break silence and speak up for justice. And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father only son, full of grace and truth. (John 1.14 NRSV) |
