CONFIRMATION TIME AGAIN

From Fall through Springtime and post-Easter time, we prepare all the different groups of students to be Confirmed. Bishop John Dolan celebrated the Mass with us this year.

We have a number of different programs for Confirmation education.

A. We have 60-70 youths preparing from September to Springtime to review their sense of Faith in God in the person of Jesus Christ.

B. From 5-10 students every year are prepared in English by Mr. Steve Granados in the adults’ R.C.I.A. program.

C. We also have a group of 5-10 adults who are prepared in Spanish by Sra. Evangelina Fuentes.

D. Every now and then, someone wants to get married who has never been Confirmed. So as part of their marriage preparation, and to have their sacramental education complete, we do a few private classes.

All of this is under the under the direction and very hard working hands of Mrs. Eneida Scoby, along with a small team of volunteers to teach all ages from the children, the youths, and the adults.

Presently, she is organizing about 50 students to receive their First Holy Communion on each of the Saturdays in May and two more in June, along with the Confirmation Mass last Friday evening.

Great work, and all with a good dose of care, grace and love!

God Bless, Fr. Michael, O.S.A.

We, the church of Saint Patrick, in the community of North Park,
of the Roman Catholic Diocese and City of San Diego,
declare this to be our primary mission:
to come together to celebrate the Eucharist,
hear God’s word proclaimed,
give praise and thanksgiving to God,
and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe that by freely sharing our faith, talents, and treasures,
we discover Christ’s presence among us and bring Him to others.
We have a strong desire to give and receive love, service, peace, support,
and fellowship, within our families, our parish, our community, and the world.
Open to the power of the Holy Spirit, we pursue this mission faithfully and lovingly.
