Christian Counselling as Global Mission
Depression
causes people to miss the most amount of work days worldwide. This is
just one example of how mental health and all it encompasses is
ubiquitously important across cultures and nations, and yet it is often
overlooked or misunderstood in missional contexts. Brad Smith (US;
Catalyst for Care and Counsel as Mission), Saul Cruz Jr (Mexico;
psychologist), and Gladys Mwiti (Kenya; CEO/Founder of Oasis Africa,
Catalyst for Mental Health and Trauma) discuss the great need for
Christian counselling to join hands with world mission in order to
better reach a hurting world.
