Christians and Aleppo: A moral dilemma
Aleppo is home to a handful of venerable congregations, so you might
expect Christian leaders to comment on the horrific events there and in
Syria generally. But their reactions have been muffled and
contradictory—with good reason. Syria’s church leaders look
to Bashar al-Assad as their protector. By calling for his removal,
their Western colleagues would risk sounding a death-knell for fellow
Christians,
