debating the correct greeting to give strangers this time of year. It may surprise some to discover that

happy-holiday-crowd actually has a point, and not just a rhetorical one,
but one grounded in the fact that Christmas is not the only
holiday celebrated by Americans this time of year. Enjoy

Fake News Is Not News

that argues how hard-to-impossible it will be for Facebook to
monitor/filter fake news. The only solution may be right at our
fingertips: Stop clicking on fake news, let alone passing it along. Fake
news is gossip on steroids. And we've known for centuries what we
should do about gossip—though most of us will admit we're not
necessarily good at following through. Unfortunately, gossip really is
delicious. Lord, have mercy on us.
