Actually, 'Happy Holidays' Is Correct

Actually, 'Happy Holidays' Is Correct
Again we see people embedded in the "Christmas wars," debating the correct greeting to give strangers this time of year. It may surprise some to discover that Christianity Today thinks that the happy-holiday-crowd actually has a point, and not just a rhetorical one, but one grounded in the fact that Christmas is not the only holiday celebrated by Americans this time of year. Enjoy this blast from the past by director of editorial development Ted Olsen.

Fake News Is Not News
That's the wise reminder of "The Long and Brutal History of Fake News" in Politico. And here is a piece that argues how hard-to-impossible it will be for Facebook to monitor/filter fake news. The only solution may be right at our fingertips: Stop clicking on fake news, let alone passing it along. Fake news is gossip on steroids. And we've known for centuries what we should do about gossip—though most of us will admit we're not necessarily good at following through. Unfortunately, gossip really is delicious. Lord, have mercy on us.

Top Ten Books of 2016
Okay, it's fake news I'm pointing you to, but it's pretty funny if you know anything about this crazy world called evangelicalism. On top of that, when one CT editor asked the staff what would be a book by Mark Galli that would make this list, one clever associate said: You Forgot About Grace Again: How a Gracious God's Grace-filled Grace Graces Us All. Uh, I stand convicted ….
Grace and peace,
