Exploring Science and Faith

An Informational Tour
Exploring Science and Faith

BioLogos Basics
In recent months, BioLogos has introduced multiple videos as part of the BioLogos Basics video tour. These short videos take viewers on a journey exploring issues of science and faith. Each video focuses on a particular topic and then provides additional links to further resources on our website that are appropriate next steps. This video tour will be an important resource for people new to the Christianity and evolution discussion and supports the  BioLogos mission of inviting the “church and the world to see the harmony between science and biblical faith as we present an evolutionary understanding of God’s creation.”
1.       What is BioLogos? A quick introduction to BioLogos - who we are, where we came from, what the word means.
2.       Is God the Creator? The short answer is "Yes!" and this video illustrates how "creation" can mean different things and that it is perfectly compatible to assert that God is the "who" of creation and evolution is one of the "how's" of creation.
3.       What about the Bible? Showing a plain reading of Scripture today encounters interpretive difficulties, and that when understood in its proper cultural context, the Bible doesn't contradict what we've discovered about the world through science.
4.       How Did God Create the Ingredients for Life? A look at the evidence from the natural world for how God brought about the diversity of life we see on earth today. We, who look at these through the eyes of faith, cannot but see evidence of "fine tuning" and God's providential hand.
In the next few months we plan to produce additional videos to add to this series including ones that focus on the age of the earth and genetics. Share these videos with your family and friends who have wondered what sort of organization we are. We appreciate you going on this journey with us to the intersection on science and faith.
