Pastorgraphs: “Streams of Mercy”

http://www.myfount.org/I will be so pleased if you will take a few minutes to view our new Fount of Blessings video at www.vimeo.com/vandor/fount . The video tells what The Fount is, how it works, and the exciting bold vision we have for the future.

The Fount offers a revolutionary new way for churches, charities and social agencies to work together helping those in need. We miss so many opportunities to help out because we simply are not aware of the abundant resources being offered right around us. That results in duplication of efforts, inefficiency and ineffectiveness in carrying out our mission and ministry.

The good news is that each “Fount” (church, charity or agency) doesn’t have to provide every service imaginable. By searching The Fount’s user friendly database, anyone can locate such “Streams of Mercy” as food, clothing or shelter, frequently right in their own neighborhood.

The Fount is a pilot project for San Diego, but if it works here, it will work in other places. And best of all, it is free and available 24/7/365. Thank you for helping us get the word out!

I would love to discuss all this with you, so don’t hesitate to send me an email or call me at (619) 723-1371. As you can probably tell, I’m always eager to share this good news.

I want to thank Pastor and Mrs. Donald Owens and The Exodus Inspirational Ensemble (see photo) for providing the worship music at our District Conference Saturday in Encinitas. What a wonderful way to introduce to the pastors and lay leaders of our South District the spiritual energy Exodus Church brings. We are so blessed by Exodus’ love and praise!

District Superintendent John Farley offered a message entitled, “Are You Having Fun, Yet?”. As he reflected upon his first year as DS, he said one of the joys was discovering the many things going on at Christ Ministry Center, and the emergence of Exodus Parish. I am grateful for his kind words of encouragement and support.

In addition to the Owens and Exodus Ensemble, David Stump and I also attended the District Conference at San Dieguito UMC Saturday morning. It was informative and inspirational. Our fellow churches are now aware that they may soon welcome a new sister congregation (Exodus) in the heart of San Diego.

So between the work of Christ Ministry Center, Exodus Parish and The Fount of Blessings, our work load is full, and the opportunities are abundant!

Devotedly yours, Bill Jenkins
