The 4th annual SoNo Fest and Chili Cook­off gives San Diegans a chance to buy local, eat local and drink local, all for a good cause. This free holiday event, presented by the San Diego Ceramic Connection and the McKinley
Elementary School Foundation, promises award­winning chili as local restaurants face off for chili bragging rights to prove who makes it best!

BALBOA PARK DECEMBER NIGHTS
December 6th & 7th 
Throughout Balboa Park
 
Balboa Park December Nights, the nation's premier holiday festival, will take place for the 35th consecutive year on Friday, Dec. 6, 3-11pm, and Saturday, Dec. 7, noon-11pm. As always, the event brings families and friends together to spread holiday joy, learn more about the cultural value of Balboa Park and kick-off the "most wonderful time of the year."

TOYLAND PARADE 2013 
December 7th, 11am 
Throughout North Park
Unwrap some magic this holiday season and partake in the festive fun, at the 50th Annual Golden Anniversary North Park Toyland Parade & Holiday Fair. the historic neighborhood of North Park will warmly welcome friends and family to bundle up and delight in San Diego's most joyful parade. Gliding down University Avenue between Utah and Iowa Streets, this cheerful pageant will feel like a Winter Wonderland, as melodious marching bands, upbeat dance groups, cool vintage cars, beauty queens and city officials (and more!) warm your spirits.

WHITE CHRISTMAS 
December 12th - 22nd 
Birch Theater, 2891 University Ave
Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander.
