For almost 30 years, First Presbyterian Church of San Diego has served the urban poor of downtown through Ladle Fellowship. At the beginning of 2011, the church's session approved a temporary winter shelter pilot program. The project will run for six weeks from January 15 to February 25 which are statistically the coldest and wettest weeks of the year. First Presbyterian invites other churches with a heart for the urban poor to serve with them. Please sign up to volunteer at the church's website.
