Every Thursday at Covenant Presbyterian Church assorted food items are distributed to people of the neighborhood. Linda and Bob DiGiorgio of Crossroads Christian Ministries have been ministering all over San Diego for years. 
We paid a visit today as the volunteers were preparing the grocery bags for distribution. Thursday is known as the Co-op where for $12.00 a generous portion of groceries is packed for all who call between 9 am and noon to reserve and order. Payment is made at pickup on the same day.
Tuesday is called Family Food Line where a 50-cent donation is requested. No reservation is required and anyone showing up will be able to receive bread, pastries (when available), produce and other grocery items.
The DiGiorio family is inviting pastors and churches to contact them to see how Crossroads might be able to support a food pantry in your church or assembly.
- Tuesday: Christ Ministry Center - Distribute food to churches, charities, orphanages and rehab centers.
- Friday: Christ Ministry Center (12:15-2:00 PM) Walk-up grocery and food distribution.
- Saturday: Christ Ministry Center (grocery ministry with Bethel Seventh Day Adventists)
