U.S. President Donald Trump has triggered global debate after posting AI-like images depicting Canada, Greenland, and Venezuela as part of U.S. territory. Shared on Truth Social, the visuals appeared amid escalating tensions with Europe over Trump’s renewed push to acquire Greenland. Minutes later, Trump posted another image planting the American flag on Greenland alongside top aides, declaring it a U.S. territory by 2026. The map also showed Venezuela under U.S. colors, following the recent capture of President Nicolás Maduro by American forces. Critics warn such imagery risks normalizing territorial expansion, even without formal policy changes.
