How to become a missionary to Japan
How to Become a Missionary to Japan – that’s the question we answer in this video.
Japan is often called the missionary graveyard. Looking at the statistics, you might even conclude that Christianity is doomed to fail in Japan. With less than 1% of the population following Christ, Japan is one of the hardest places in the world to reach with the Gospel. Why does Japan reject foreign religions like Christianity? What makes the Japanese so hard to reach? And more importantly, how can YOU step into this challenge as a missionary?
In this video, we’ll walk you step-by-step through the process of becoming a missionary in Japan. We’ll cover things like pre-field preparation like language study (such as required JLPT levels) and visas. We’ll also go into some detail about things you might not be thinking of (like mission boards and adequate support levels).
If it seems like Japan rejects foreign religions like Christianity, we must make sure we do as much as we can to be accurately prepared for the mission field to thrive in Gospel ministry.
Whether you’re exploring short-term missions or planning to serve as a career missionary, our goal is to help you THRIVE in ministry in Japan. We hope this video helps you understand what it takes to get to Japan to spread the Gospel in Japan and make disciples where Christ is scarcely known.
