I Went To an LGBT Church... (Here's What Happened!)

Nov 24, 2025
I attended a fully LGBT church / gay church to see what their services are really like and share the biblical gospel. In this video, I walk through the entire service — from the songs and preaching to the activities — and share my honest reflections on what I experienced. I also had a conversation with the pastor about what they truly believe and how they interpret Scripture. Some LGBTQIA+ Christians see their identity as part of God's creation-loved and affirmed as they are. They often focus on Jesus' teachings of love, compassion, and justice. Many attend affirming churches, like those in the Episcopal or UCC denominations, where scripture is interpreted inclusively, rejecting literal readings of passages on sexuality. Others might struggle with traditional views of sin or purity, wrestling with faith through groups like Dignity for Catholics or affirming queer theology. Some emphasize personal revelation or mystical experience over doctrine, finding peace in a loving God. Others stay in conservative churches, quietly navigating tension between faith and identity. It's not one-size-fits-all-some fully embrace both identities, others feel pulled apart.
