After looking in Crudens Complete Concordance at the extensive list of Scriptures that make use of the word, "thank" or "thankfulness", the sermon title emerged from one of Paul's statements to the Philippian Church: "Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about it." — Phil. 4:8c The Living Bible translation of the passage I just read from I Cor. reads: "I can never stop thanking God for all the wonderful gifts he has given you, now that you are Christ’s: he has enriched your whole life." For Paul, Thanking begins with thinking! The spiritual dimension of thanksgiving involves the mind and the spirit, blending thought with gratitude.
This sermon is intended to help us all further develop this spiritual discipline of giving thanks -- ALWAYS. Join us at Plymouth Congregational Church for worship at 9:45 Sunday morning.
