King Charles prays with Pope Leo in the Sistine Chapel

 

 

The King and the Queen are in Rome today for a landmark visit that will include a historic moment. Charles is expected at the Vatican this morning to pray alongside Pope Leo, marking the first joint prayer of a British monarch and a Pope in some 500 years. That dates back to the formation of the Church of England, breaking away from the Roman Catholic Church.
