NAE Update

November 2011

The United States currently spends about 1 percent of its federal budget on poverty-focused foreign aid. Millions of lives have been saved due to this assistance. For 2012, the House of Representatives has recommended a 30 percent reduction in international assistance. The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved funding at roughly the same level as 2011. The full Senate will be voting in the next few days on the funding bill. Your senators need to hear from you now. (take action)
