The NAE calls on all evangelicals to pray for the people of Sudan as they approach national elections on April 11-13, the first such elections since 1986. The election of national leaders is the first of two major milestones established by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed in 2005, ending nearly two decades of civil war. The second vote, a referendum on independence in southern Sudan, is scheduled for January 2011. (read more)
While the majority of Americans believe that the Cuba embargo should remain in place, evangelical leaders indicate they prefer the opposite. According to the March Evangelical Leaders Survey, 63 percent said the United States should lift its Cuba embargo. (read more)
April 1 marks National Census Day – a point of reference for sending completed forms back in the mail. As a partner of the 2010 Census, the NAE believes that getting a complete count is important on many levels. (read more)
The NAE and World Relief will host an evangelical leaders forum on immigration on April 14 in Raymond, N.H. Immigration is one of the most complicated issues of our time. Voices on all sides argue strongly for action and change. Christians find themselves torn between the desire to uphold laws and the call to minister to the vulnerable. This forum will provide an opportunity for church leaders to learn about immigration from a biblical perspective and to ask tough questions. (read more)

Maximum Generosity in partnership with Christianity Today International conducted national research to identifying trends and benchmarks in church giving, budgets and generosity. Its most recent release shows that the economy is hitting churches at an unprecedented rate. (read more)
