Orange Ave Community Church grew out of a need for students and families in City Heights to worship Jesus Christ. Rev. Jake Medcalf had been living in the community doing youth outreach when God made it clear to him that he was to move permanently into the neighborhood and start Orange Ave Community Church. The Church contains people not only from City Heights but elsewhere, many members have been connected to OACC through UrbanLife Senior High. The actual Church is non-denominational and its main focus is Loving God and Loving People in whatever shape and form that comprises of.
