Top Policy Issues of 2017

Religious freedom and immigration/refugee policy are the most important public policy issues for evangelicals to address in 2017, according to the year-end Evangelical Leaders Survey. “If the first weeks under the new administration are any indication, evangelical leaders accurately identified key policy issues and pressure points for the year,” NAE President Leith Anderson said. Learn more.

Religious Freedom is for Non-Christians Too

Evangelical leaders unanimously affirmed that they support the same religious freedom protection for people of non-Christian faiths as for Christians, according to the January Evangelical Leaders Survey. In this survey, evangelical leaders deviate from the general American population that places a higher priority on preserving the religious freedom of some groups rather than others.
